Murari Mandap

Bhavnagar is a place where traditions still matter a lot. Our business, Murari Mandap, is located right opposite Deepak Hall. It’s a very well-known spot near the Ramji Mandir. Most of our work involves heavy lifting. We have poles, giant sheets of cloth, and stacks of chairs that need to be moved around constantly. Our storage area is full of these things. It’s not a clean, polished office. It’s a workspace where we deal with dust and the heat of the sun. When there is a wedding or a festival, we are out there in the dirt, setting things up. We’ve been doing this for years. The temple nearby gives the whole area a certain feel, especially in the mornings with the bells ringing. We are just local people doing a local job. We don’t have a website or a fancy marketing team. People usually just walk in or call us because they know where we are. The work is tiring and your back hurts by the end of the day, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We handle the stuff that people need for their big days, and it’s mostly about making sure the tents don’t fall down and everything is where it should be. It’s a very honest way to make a living. We just keep our heads down and get the mandaps ready for whoever needs them. The salt air in Bhavnagar can be tough on the equipment too.
