Mahalakshmi Ice & Trading Co.

We are tucked away in Akali Bazar, sitting right behind Lati Bazar here in Bhavnagar. It is an old part of town with narrow lanes and a lot of history. Our building is a mix of a warehouse and a trading space. We handle ice, but we also do some trading on the side, so there are always crates and boxes being moved around. It is a bit cramped inside, but we know where everything is. The air smells like the old market and the wet concrete of our floors. We have been operating here for a long time. Our neighbors are all traders too, so there is a lot of shouting and haggling going on outside our doors. We don't spend much on making the place look pretty. It is a functional space. We have a couple of old desks where we keep the books and a big area for the stock. Most of our day is spent coordinating with the loaders and the buyers. It gets very hot in Bhavnagar, so we are always busy when the sun is high. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together for years. It is a familiar routine. We open up, check the orders, and get to work. It is just another day in the bazar for us, and we wouldn't have it any other way here at Mahalakshmi Ice & Trading Co.
