Lala Plastic

Right nearby in Chitra Gidc, at Plot No 14/13, is where you’ll find Lala Plastic. It’s a small shop compared to some of the bigger factories around here. We’ve got a couple of machines and a lot of storage space for the finished products. The address is easy to find once you’re in the Gidc area. We started this place with just one machine and have slowly added a bit more over the years. It’s a family-style environment, even if we aren’t all actually related. We drink tea together in the morning and talk about the work for the day. There’s no big hierarchy here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed most. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the stock around. It’s those little things you deal with every day. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby area. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you out. The noise from the Gidc is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We focus on keeping our costs down and our machines running well. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to do our job and go home to our families at night. It’s honest work and it keeps us going. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we’re still here at 14/13.
