Investment & Precision Castings Ltd. is out on Nari Road in Bhavnagar. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty dusty and hot out here, especially in the afternoon. We have been doing casting work for a long time. It’s a slow process sometimes. You have to wait for the metal to melt and then wait for it to cool down. There is a lot of sand and heat involved in what we do. The facility isn’t anything fancy to look at from the outside, just a big industrial building on Nari Road, but inside there is a lot of activity. We have different sections for the molds and the pouring. It takes a certain kind of person to work in a foundry. It’s heavy work and you go home tired every single day. Bhavnagar has a lot of industrial history, and we feel like a small part of that. The yard usually has crates stacked up waiting to be sent out. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that, just people who know how to handle molten metal. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow parts of the road, which is always a bit of a headache. But usually, things move along. We just focus on the job at hand and try to stay cool when the furnaces are running full blast. It’s a basic, hard-working environment. We’ve been here for years and the crew knows the routine by heart now.
