Raja Panda Adivasi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Govindbhai Raysingbhai Vasavaat’s place in Kakadkui. We are in the Valia area of Bharuch district, which is a place with a lot of history and hard-working people. Our setup is very basic because we prefer to spend our time out in the fields rather than sitting behind a desk. We gather here to discuss how to handle the crops and what needs to be done for the upcoming months. Kakadkui is a small place, so word travels fast whenever we have something new going on. Being an Adivasi group, we have a very close connection to the way things have been done for a long time. We try to help our members get a fair deal for what they grow. It is not always easy, especially when the weather doesn't go our way, but we stick together. You might see a few of us sitting under the big tree near the house talking about the price of seeds. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk over when they need something. The office is really just a room with a few chairs and a lot of heart. We know everyone by their first name here. It is a slow pace of life in Bharuch, but we like it that way. We just want to make sure the farmers in Valia are doing okay.
