Bharuch Kisan Agrofed Producer Company Limited

Our spot is right near the PWD office in Bharuch, basically next to the Dy. Forest Conservator's place in the Kanbivaga area. It’s a bit of a government hub around here, so you see people in uniforms and officials coming and going all day. We are a producer company made up of farmers from around the Bharuch area who wanted to do things our own way. We didn't want anything too fancy, so we set up in this part of town because it's easy for the members to find us when they come into the city. It’s not like one of those big corporate offices with air conditioning and fancy carpets. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of paper registers that we keep updated. Most of our time is spent talking about the crops and how the monsoon is looking this year. Being in Bharuch, we have our own way of talking and doing things. The local farmers drop in when they are in town to buy supplies or visit the bank. We usually have a bit of tea and talk about what's happening in the villages. It’s a very simple setup with no marketing people. We handle everything ourselves, from the books to the actual lifting. Sometimes the office gets a bit crowded when the weather is bad and everyone wants to talk at once. We just make do and keep things moving. No one here is looking for special attention.
