Global Engineering & Trading Co.

Our shop is number 40 on the ground floor, right by the Aambli Stand. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the stand is. We see people waiting for the bus all day long. Global Engineering & Trading Co. is basically just this one room filled with stuff. We trade different engineering bits and pieces. Some days we have a lot of customers coming in, and other days it’s just us sitting here. The floor is concrete and the shelves go all the way to the ceiling. We don't have any fancy displays. If you need something, we usually have to go digging through a few boxes to find it. That’s just how we work. It’s a very local business. We know the people who live around here and the other shop owners. We aren't trying to become a global empire, despite the name. We just want to make a living and provide what people need. The fan on the ceiling makes a clicking noise, but we don't mind it anymore. It’s part of the shop. We drink a lot of tea and talk to anyone who walks in. It’s a simple life, and it suits us. Trading is mostly about knowing people and being fair. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes by. It isn't much, but it's ours and we are here every day.
