Yadav Bricks

Baghaka is where we are located. It is a quiet village for the most part, except when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. We are right on Banainy Dhounkla Road and it gets quite dusty when the trucks go past. We make bricks here at Yadav Bricks. It is hard work out in the sun all day. The kiln stays hot and we have to keep a close eye on it. People around Nagar Tehsil know us pretty well. We do not have a big office or fancy desks. It is just the yard and the stacks of bricks drying in the rows. Sometimes the cows wander in from the road and we have to shoo them away so they do not step on the wet clay. The government primary school is right nearby, so we hear the bell ringing and the children playing during their break. We have been in this spot for a while now. My father started things up years ago and now we just keep the fires going. It is not a glamorous business. You see the bricks piled up high and that is pretty much us. The rain makes things messy and we have to cover everything with plastic sheets. We just try to get the work done before the sun sets. If you are coming from the main road, just look for the school and you will find us. We do not do much talking, mostly just heavy lifting.
