Sunflag Iron &Steel Ltd.,

Out here at Kondhi in the Jawaharnagar area, things are a bit different than the city. We’re part of the Sunflag Iron &Steel Ltd. setup in the Bhandara district. It is a big operation, but we try to keep things grounded. The work is mostly about the raw materials and getting them processed or shipped out to wherever they are needed next. You spend a lot of time on your feet here. The air smells like metal and machinery, which is something you just get used to after a week or two on the job. We have folks from all over the Taluka coming in to work every shift. It’s a solid place to be if you don’t mind getting your hands dirty and dealing with the heat from the furnaces or the sun. We don't really do the whole corporate polish thing. Our office is practical, with just enough room for the desks and the files we actually need. Most of the real action happens on the floor where the steel is handled. It's loud, and you have to yell sometimes to be heard over the machines, but everyone knows the rhythm of the place by now. We take our breaks when we can, usually sitting outside if there’s a bit of a breeze. It's a long day, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the trucks leave full. We’ve been at this location for a good while and plan to stay for longer.
