Hi Tech Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at the NTPC area in Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur. We’re over in Field Hostel-2, Room 105, which is where Tusar Kanta Pradhan looks after the daily things. Hi Tech Engineering Works is a busy place, mostly dealing with the technical stuff that comes up around the station. It’s not a fancy office at all, just a room where we keep our heavy tools and various papers. Being in a place like Kahalgaon means we are always around the power plant atmosphere, which is unique. We spend a lot of time on our feet, checking on different jobs and making sure things are being built or fixed the right way. It’s dusty and loud most days, but that’s just how engineering work goes in a place like this. We’ve been here for a while and know the layout of the site pretty well. We don’t have a big team, just a few dedicated people who really know how to use their hands and solve problems. Sometimes we’re working late into the evening if a project is behind or something needs urgent attention. We often eat our meals together and talk about what needs to be done the next day. It’s honest work that keeps us occupied. We don’t have much in the way of brochures or fancy talk. We just focus on the metal and the machines that need looking after. It is a simple life of fixing and building.
