This is the spot in Garadpur, right near Bhadrak. It is funny because the name says Kolkata but we are tucked away here in Orissa. Rabinarayan Mohapatra keeps the place running. It is more of a home office vibe than anything else. You have to go through the village to find us. The roads aren't always great, especially when the monsoon hits and everything turns to mud. We mostly look at the papers for the steel business and keep track of who is doing what. It is quiet out here compared to the big city. You can hear the birds and the occasional tractor going by. We don't have fancy furniture, just the basics like a few chairs and a table that has seen better days. Most of the people around here know us as the steel office even if we don't produce anything on this specific site. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in big registers. The mail comes to the local post office and we go pick it up. It is a simple life in Garadpur. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a branch office where the daily grind of the power and steel world meets the slow pace of a Bhadrak village. We just keep our heads down and do the paperwork.
