Our branch is located at Khanabari, within the area of Po Andhaipally in the Bhadrak district of Orissa. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t from the area, but it’s where we need to be. Sobha Developers Ltd uses this location as a hub for our work in this part of the state. The office isn't anything like what you’d see in a big city. It’s a simple structure that fits in with the rural surroundings of Bhadrak. We deal with a lot of dust and the changing seasons here, so the office always feels like it’s part of the landscape. Inside, things are kept functional. We have our files, some basic furniture, and the usual tools we need for our development tasks. The pace of life here at Khanabari is slower than the big metros, which suits us just fine. We work closely with the local people and often have visitors from the nearby villages coming in to discuss various matters. There is no corporate polish or marketing talk to be found here. We just speak plainly about what we are doing and what needs to happen next. Most of us are used to the local conditions and we take pride in being a steady presence in the district. It’s a quiet place to work, but there is always something to do, whether it’s checking on a site or sorting through local permits. We’re just a small part of the community in Andhaipally.
