Shemrock School

Shemrock School is located on Bhatli Road in Bargarh. It’s a busy street, but we’ve made a nice little spot for the kids here. We mostly deal with younger children, so the school is usually full of bright colors and drawings taped to the walls. We don't have a big office with secretaries; it’s mostly just the teachers handling the phones and the front desk. When parents come in, they usually talk directly to us. We’ve been in Bargarh for a few years now, and people have gotten to know the way we run things. It’s a bit chaotic in the mornings when the vans arrive, but once the kids are in their classes, things settle down. We have some outdoor space where they can run around, though it’s never quite enough for all that energy. We use simple tools and traditional ways of teaching the basics. Sometimes we have local events or small celebrations where the parents bring in snacks. It’s a very community-focused kind of place. We don't bother with fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want the kids on Bhatli Road to have a safe place to play and learn their ABCs. It’s hard work and the days are long, but seeing the children happy makes it worth the effort for all of us. We are just a small group trying to do a good job every day for the local families.
