Basudev Garments

We are right here in Charampa, just a bit down from Saint Xavier High School on Nh. 5. If you know the area, you know how the highway stays busy all day. We’ve been running Basudev Garments from this spot for some time now. It’s a simple shop. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the dust off the racks because the road outside kicks up a lot of it from the trucks passing by. The kids from the high school pass by every afternoon, making a lot of noise, and sometimes their parents pop in to see what we have. We keep a variety of clothes, mostly stuff people can wear every day without spending too much money. It is not a fancy showroom with big lights or anything like that. We have a few old fans that hum along while we work. My cousin helps me out behind the counter when things get a bit crowded on the weekends. We just try to keep things organized so people can find what they need quickly. The shelves are packed with shirts and trousers, and we do our best to remember where everything is stored. Life moves along pretty steady here. We see the same faces every week, mostly neighbors and people living around the Nh. 5 area. It's just a regular day-to-day business for us, making sure we have enough stock and the place stays open until late evening when the traffic finally slows down.
