Damoder Behera

My name is Damoder Behera and I work out of At/Sarasatia, which is near Po/Ranital in the Bhadrak district of Orissa. Living and working here in 756111 means you get to know everyone in the area pretty well. It’s a different pace of life compared to the big cities. Most of what I do involves handling various tasks that come up around the village and the nearby town. I spend a lot of time on the move, going from one spot to another to check on things. The weather here in Orissa can be quite something, especially during the monsoon months when the rain just doesn't seem to stop. You have to plan your work around that. My office is basically just a room with what I need to get the paperwork done. It’s not anything special to look at, but it works for me. I’ve been in this area for a long time, so I know the roads and the people around Bhadrak quite well. Sometimes things move slowly, but that is just how it is. You learn to be patient with the supplies and the transport. I don't have a big staff or anything like that. It is mostly just me and a couple of local people helping out when there is a bigger job to finish. We keep things simple and just try to get the work finished so we can head home and rest for the next day.
