Vanigurukulam

Vanigurukulam is situated on the road between Ayyagaripeta and Kakarlapally in Khammam. It is a bit of a drive out from the main town center, which makes it a fairly peaceful spot compared to the schools in the middle of the city. We have a decent amount of space here, and the school layout is spread out a bit. The students come from the nearby villages and some of the newer housing areas that have popped up around here lately. We spend our days going through the curriculum and making sure the kids actually understand what they are reading in their textbooks. The building is functional, with rows of classrooms and some open spaces where the students can gather for assembly or lunch. We do not have a lot of modern bells and whistles, but we have enough benches and boards for everyone to be comfortable. The staff mostly comes from Khammam, so they travel in every morning. We see a lot of dust from the road when the wind picks up, but it is just part of life in this part of the country. During the monsoon, the ground gets a bit muddy and the walk to the gate is a challenge, but we manage. We do not really do big promotions or advertisements. People just know we are here on the Kakarlapally Road. It is a place for learning and nothing more. We try to keep a steady routine so the students know what to expect when they walk in.
