Rathore Traders

We’ve been operating Rathore Traders here in Mohkampupur for quite a few years now. If you know the Satner area, you know it’s mostly just hardworking people trying to get by. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices or anything like that. Our place is just a simple building in Satna where we keep our stock and wait for the local farmers and neighbors to drop in. Most days start around six when the sun is coming up over the fields. We spend a lot of time moving bags around and checking our inventory to see what we need to get from the bigger towns nearby. The dust from the road gets into everything, so we are always wiping down the counters with an old rag. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here to Tehsil- Aathner, so we try to keep enough on hand so folks don't have to make the trip twice. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside on the bench for a bit until it comes back on. It is a slow life but it is honest work. We know most of our customers by their first names and we know what they usually need before they even ask. It’s not about being the biggest store, just about being here when someone needs a part or some supplies. We just do our work and go home.
