Shri Radha Traders

If you’re walking down Fort Road in Berhampur, you’ll find us tucked into the Kamal Complex at shop number two. Shri Radha Traders has been operating from this same spot for quite a few years. It’s a small space, mostly filled with whatever stock came in that morning. We deal in various trading items that local shops and families need. It gets pretty loud outside with all the rickshaws and people, but inside we just focus on getting orders sorted. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms. It’s usually just a couple of us handling everything from unloading the trucks to checking the accounts. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out, chatting with the neighbors. That’s just part of being in this complex. We know most of our regular customers by name because they’ve been coming here since we opened. We don’t spend money on big ads because word of mouth usually does the job well enough. Life in Berhampur is fast, but we like the pace. Every day is a bit different, depending on what supplies are in demand. We keep our ledgers by hand mostly, though we’re trying to use the computer more. It’s a practical way to earn a living and we’re happy to be part of the local market scene here.
