Zam Traders

Zam Traders is located at 26/2 Silver Jubilee Park Road, right in the G S Building. We are on D R Lane, which is quite close to the Jamia Mosque. The area is always packed with shoppers and other traders. Sjp Road is famous for being busy, and our little corner is no different. We spend our days inside the building where it's a bit more sheltered from the street noise. The space is filled with whatever we’ve got in stock at the moment. It’s not a showroom. It’s more like a storehouse where we keep everything organized on high shelves. We have a small desk near the entrance where we take down orders. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, and we’ve been meaning to fix it, but there’s always something more urgent to do. We like being near the mosque because it gives us a sense of time with the calls to prayer. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to this lane for decades. We don't do any advertising. We just open the shop, talk to whoever comes in, and try to be helpful. It’s a lot of standing around and talking. The floor is concrete and stays cool under our feet. By the end of the day, we’re tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We just close the heavy doors and head home to rest.
