Yashomati Hospitals Private Limited is situated over on Varthur Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, right in Marathahalli. Most people use Shankara Eye Hospital as a landmark because we are right opposite it. It’s a big operation, actually operated by Aayug Hospital. The traffic outside is usually a nightmare, especially during peak hours, so we hear a lot of honking from the wards. It’s just part of being in Bangalore, I suppose. The building at 2371/3 is pretty tall and you can see the HAL area from the higher floors. We have a lot of staff coming in shifts, so there’s always someone new at the front desk. It’s a professional place but we try not to be too stiff about it. The hallways are wide but they still get crowded when the visiting hours start. We have people coming from all over Munne Kolala. It’s a lot of walking back and forth for the nurses. The elevators are sometimes slow, so most of us just take the stairs if we’re in a rush. It’s a practical place. We don’t have all the shiny decorations you see in the new private malls. It’s a hospital, so it smells like disinfectant and floor cleaner most of the time. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everyone finds their way through the different wings.
