You can find us over in Hosur Layout, right on the Hosur Main Road. We are situated just behind the Rupena Ahrahara Bus Stop, which is a very busy spot. Because of the buses, there is always a lot of noise and people walking past our front door. Inside, we have stacks of tiles and ceramic pieces everywhere. It's a bit of a maze sometimes because new crates arrive and we have to find a place to put them without blocking the aisles. The floor is usually covered in a bit of white dust from the porcelain and stone. We spend the day helping people look through samples, trying to find a color that matches what they have at home. It’s heavy work, moving these boards around so people can see them in the light. The lighting in the shop isn't perfect, so sometimes we carry a tile out to the sidewalk to see the real color. The back of the shop is where we keep the bigger stock and the plumbing stuff. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Usually, the mornings are for unloading deliveries and the evenings are for talkative customers who stop by on their way home from work. It is a simple business dealing with basic building materials for people in the neighborhood who are fixing up their bathrooms or kitchens. We just keep the shop open and help whoever walks through the door.
