Winsys

Our little Winsys setup is at number 38 in the HRBR Layout. It’s not a very big place, just a few rooms where we keep our servers and workstations. There are cables running along the floor and taped to the walls because we are always adding something new. We spend a lot of time staring at screens and typing away. It’s usually pretty quiet in here, except for the hum of the fans keeping the computers cool. We don't have a sign outside that you can see from a mile away. It’s just a regular building where we do our technical work. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it’s dark outside before we’ve even had dinner. We are just a few guys who know a lot about systems and how to fix them when they break. We don't have any corporate hierarchy or anything like that. If something goes wrong, we all just jump in to figure it out together. The neighborhood is nice and we can walk to get snacks or a tea when we need a break from the monitors. We’ve been here for a bit and we like the pace of this area. It’s a straightforward business. We fix the code, we manage the data, and we make sure everything stays running. That’s pretty much the whole story of what happens here at our office every day of the week.
