Vinod Hopcom

We are located at Kodigehalli Khatripole in Raopura, and that is where Vinod Hopcom does its daily business. Most of our work starts very early in the morning, often before the sun is even up, because that’s when the fresh produce comes in. We spend a lot of time lifting crates and sorting through fruits and vegetables to make sure everything looks alright. The air in Raopura is a bit cooler in the mornings, which is nice before the heat of the day sets in. Being at Khatripole, we see all the regulars who come by every day to get their supplies. It is a simple life, mostly just talking to the farmers and the local people who live around Kodigehalli. Our shop isn't anything fancy, just a place with lots of crates and the smell of fresh greens. We don't have any big marketing plans, we just focus on having good stuff on the shelves every day. Sometimes it gets very busy and we have to move fast to keep up with everyone, but other times it is quiet enough to have a chat with a neighbor. We have been part of this community for a while and we like the routine of it. It’s honest work, and at the end of the day, we are just glad to have provided something useful to the people living here in Raopura.
