Vgm Industry

Our industry is based in Peenya, at number 18 on the Karmobile Road in the 1st Block. If you know Bangalore, you know Peenya is the place where all the big factories and small units are. It is a very industrial atmosphere. There’s always the sound of heavy machinery or the smell of welding in the air. Karmobile Road gets a lot of heavy trucks moving through, so it can be quite dusty and noisy. We have a good-sized space here where we do our manufacturing work. It’s a lot of hard labor and long hours on the floor. We start our day when it’s still dark sometimes, just to get a head start on the production. The 1st block has a lot of other units like ours, so we are surrounded by people who do similar work. We have a small area where we keep our tools organized, though it usually gets messy by noon. The floor is heavy concrete to hold the weight of the machines. We take our breaks together and usually just get something from the local canteen nearby. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do to make a living. We’ve been here for years and have seen many businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work that needs to be finished each day.
