V 4 Financial is located at number 97 in Malleshwaram. The building is called Laxmi Nilayam, which is a fairly traditional name for this part of Bangalore. Malleshwaram is one of those areas that still feels a bit like the old days, with its narrow lanes and big houses. Laxmi Nilayam is no different. It has that solid feel to it. Our office inside is quite simple. We have some wooden desks and a lot of steel cupboards for all the files. Finance involves a lot of paper, and we seem to have it piled up everywhere you look. The neighborhood is quiet in the mornings, but by the afternoon, you can hear the vendors on the street selling vegetables or flowers. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a small one near the gate. People come in to talk about their savings or their taxes, and we sit down with them at the big table. The fan oscillates back and forth, making a rhythmic clicking sound that you eventually stop noticing. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the window where there is some natural light. It’s a very ordinary way to spend the day. At V 4 Financial, we just do the work as it comes. Being in Laxmi Nilayam feels right because it’s a calm spot in a busy city. We just keep things moving along without any grand plans.
