You can find us right at K. R. Circle, which is in the heart of the older part of Bangalore. University Visvesvaraya College Of Engineering has been around for a very long time, and the buildings definitely show their age. There is a lot of history inside these walls, with many famous people having walked through these same halls long before our time. The traffic around the circle outside is legendary, and the constant noise of car horns is just a normal part of the background here. We have old labs filled with heavy machinery and wooden desks that have been carved into by many generations of students. It is not a shiny new campus with modern glass buildings. It is a place that feels very used and lived in. We spend our days managing the old infrastructure and trying our best to keep everything functioning. The staff here knows all the little quirks of the building, like which doors tend to stick and which lights take a few seconds to flicker on. We do not go for any marketing gimmicks or fancy brochures. Almost everyone in the city already knows exactly where UVCE is located. We deal with a lot of paperwork and the usual day-to-day college politics. During the rainy season, the big trees around the campus look great, even if the deep puddles make it hard for people to walk around. We are just a bunch of regular people trying to keep this institution going. It is a lot of work, and the days can be quite long, but there is a sense of pride in being part of such an old place in Bangalore.
