Universal Power Tools

Our shop is at No.14 on Silver Jubilee Park Road, and most people around here just call it SP Road. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the SBI, which is a good landmark because the street is always packed with people and vehicles. Universal Power Tools has been operating out of this small space for a long time. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so many different types of drills, grinders, and saws stacked up on the shelves. There is barely enough room for two people to stand at the counter sometimes. The noise on SP Road is constant—horns honking and people shouting—but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend our days demonstrating how the tools work or helping someone find a specific spare part that is hard to get. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal shavings or dust from testing out the equipment. It’s a very grounded, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It is just about the tools and the people who need them for their daily work. Sometimes we share a tea with the guys from the shop next door when things quiet down for a few minutes. It is a hard-working atmosphere, and we wouldn't really want to be anywhere else but here on this busy street.
