Down at 40/10 Bawan Road in Samaipur Badli, that’s where you’ll find our place. We deal with inks and varnishes. It smells like chemicals and production most days, but you get used to that pretty fast. The area is very industrial, with lots of big trucks coming and going at all hours. We’ve got the mixing vats and all the storage set up in the back part of the building. It isn't the kind of place you’d wear a suit to. We all wear overalls and usually end the day with stuff on our hands. Universal Inks is just the name painted on the front gate. We’ve been running this for a while now. Some of the mixing machines are older, but they actually work better than the new ones sometimes. We keep a close eye on the batches as they come through. If the color or the thickness isn't right, we stop and fix it. It’s a lot of manual checking and testing. The road outside gets pretty muddy when it rains. We just keep the doors open and make sure the orders get out on time. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just talk to the customers directly on the phone. It’s a simple setup. We know the chemistry and we know the process. That’s what really matters at the end of the day in Samaipur Badli. There is ink on the floor.
