Unity Tools Centre

Unity Tools Centre is located at 179/9 on Sadar Patrappa Road, specifically down Dresser Rajapp Lane. If you know S.P. Road, you know it is one of the most crowded places you could ever try to walk through. The lane is narrow, and there are always carts and people carrying heavy bags of hardware bumping into each other. Our shop is small and packed tight with tools from floor to ceiling. You really have to know where to look to find anything in here. We spend a lot of our time moving boxes around just to get to the one thing a customer asked for. It is dark inside even during the middle of the day because the buildings are so close together. We use a lot of tube lights to see what we are doing. The air always feels a bit heavy with the smell of iron and oil. We have been in this lane for a long time now. We know the other shop owners well; we have to since we are practically on top of each other. Dealing with the crowds every day can be exhausting, but it is just part of being in this part of the city. We don't have fancy displays. Everything is just sitting there on the shelves or in crates, waiting for someone to need it. It is a very basic way of doing things, but it works for us. We drink tea in the afternoon while sitting on crates near the front door.
