United Salt Works

Our office is on the second floor of the Amardeep Complex. You’ll find us in Falshruti Nagar, which is usually quite a busy area. We have been working with salt for quite some time now. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The office is pretty basic. We’ve got some desks and a few files scattered around. Sometimes the lift in the complex doesn’t work, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It’s good exercise, I guess. Dealing with salt means a lot of talk about logistics and transport. We spend most of our mornings on the phone checking where the loads are. The sun gets really hot through the windows in the afternoon, so we keep the blinds down most of the time. It’s just a small group of us here. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. People mostly find out about us by word of mouth or through old contacts in the industry. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a shipment is late, we just say so. There is no point in making up stories. We like it here in this part of town because everything we need is close by. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do every day. Nothing too fancy, just a regular workplace where we get things done. We usually lock up around six and head home to our families.
