Our yard is out at Survey No 37 in the Doddenakundi Industrial Area. It’s a big space because we deal with some pretty heavy equipment, and you need the room to move those things around. Being on Whitefield Road near Mahadevapura means we’re right in the middle of all that industrial growth, but it also means we deal with a lot of dust and noise from the construction nearby. We spend most of our time out in the sun or under the corrugated roof of the main shed. There’s always a crane or a tractor that needs looking at. We aren't the type to sit in an office all day. Most of the staff are out there with wrenches or clipboards, checking on the engines. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, which gets messy when it rains, but that’s just life in an industrial park. We’ve been operating as United Motors for a while, and we’ve seen the Mahadevapura area change from empty fields to what it is now. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when a piece of equipment breaks down and someone needs it fixed yesterday. We just put our heads down and get to it. There’s no point in being fancy when you’re dealing with heavy machinery and hydraulic fluid. It’s a practical business for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, making sure the gears are greased.
