You will find us at number 2 on Silver Jubilee Park Road, tucked into Hakeem Khaleel Khan Lane. This part of the city is always buzzing with activity. S.J.P. Road is famous for hardware, and we are right in the thick of it at Tools & Hardware Enterprises. The lane is quite narrow, so getting large deliveries in can be a real headache. We often have to carry things by hand from the main road. The shop is old and has that specific smell of metal and cardboard that stays with you. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and we use old wooden ladders to reach the top. It is not a modern setup by any means. We still use an old fan that squeaks when it turns, but it helps when the weather gets humid. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to this lane for years. We spend our time talking to them, checking the stock, and making sure the orders are ready. It is a lot of manual work. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up, open the doors, and handle the hardware. Sometimes we stand at the entrance of the lane just to get a bit of fresh air before the next person comes in looking for a specific bolt or a wrench. It is a tight space, but we manage to fit thousands of items inside those four walls.
