Our place is out in Jigani at 54 Cobra South Wing. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just factories and big trucks moving around all day long. Tool Room Supply Pvt Ltd is basically just a big room full of metal parts and industrial supplies. It’s dusty work, and our boots are usually covered in some kind of grime by the end of the shift. The South Wing isn’t the newest part of the building, but it stays relatively cool even in the summer, which we appreciate when the sun is beating down on the roof. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee, and that’s where most of the morning chat happens before the machines start up or the deliveries start arriving. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find fancy furniture or carpets. Everything is built to be sturdy because things get dropped or moved around a lot. Sometimes the power flickers when the neighbors are running heavy equipment, but we just wait it out and keep going. The commute out here is long for most of us, so we make sure to get the work done efficiently so we can head home before the sun goes down completely. It’s straightforward work in a straightforward building, and we don't try to make it seem like anything more than that. We just focus on the supplies.
