Our office for The Hindustan Expots & Imports Corporation Pvt Ltd is tucked away at 127 Jay Mahal Extension. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, but at the end of the day, we’re just a small team handling various goods coming in and out. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or tracking shipments on the computer. It’s not always the most exciting work, but someone has to make sure things get from one place to another correctly. Our space in Jay Mahal Extension is fairly quiet compared to the busier parts of the city. We have stacks of files and ledgers everywhere because we still like to keep physical records of things. We aren't one of those high-tech startups with beanbags and coffee machines. We just have our desks, our phones, and our work. Sometimes things go wrong with a shipment, and we have to spend the whole day fixing it, which can be stressful. But when everything moves smoothly, it feels like we’ve actually accomplished something useful. We’ve been operating from this location for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the other small businesses nearby quite well. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most of our work comes from long-standing contacts we’ve made over the years. It’s just us doing our part in the global trade cycle from a quiet street in Jay Mahal.
