The Dentist

The Dentist is located at No.509 in the basement on Kammanahalli Main Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, and we’re right next to the Mcdonalds. You can usually smell the fries if the wind is blowing the right way. Being in the basement means it’s a little cooler than it is outside on the sidewalk, which is nice during the summer months. You have to walk down a few steps to get into the clinic. Once you're inside, it’s a pretty standard setup. We have the usual dental chairs and all the tools laid out on trays. It isn't a massive space. We’ve managed to fit everything in so it doesn't feel too cramped for the patients. The sound of the traffic from the main road is always there in the background. It is a constant hum of buses and bikes. We’ve been in Kammanahalli for a bit, and we see a real mix of people. There are students and families who live in the apartments nearby. The waiting area is just a few chairs against the wall and a small table with some water. We don't spend much money on decorating or making things look like a hotel lobby. Our focus is just on the teeth and the people. It’s a simple, honest place where we work hard and try to stay on schedule, even if things get a bit backed up on some busy afternoons. It's just part of the job.
