The Continental System

The Continental System is up on the 1st floor of the G. E. S. Complex. We are on 7th Street in Gandipuram. It is usually packed with people and scooters. Finding our entrance can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking for the sign. The complex has a lot of different businesses tucked away in it. Room 401 is where we spend our days. It’s a typical office space with a lot of wires and computer screens. We don't have a big reception area. You just walk in. Someone will probably look up from their screen to say hello. The windows look out over the street. We see all the chaos of the market area below. It gets pretty loud during the peak hours. We’ve grown used to it. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. The air conditioning works most of the time. This is a blessing in this heat. We handle all sorts of system work here. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and looking at lines of data. We don't have a dress code. Most of us just wear whatever is comfortable. It feels more like a small community than a corporate office. Sometimes we all go out for lunch together if the work isn't too piled up. It’s just a regular bunch of people doing our bit in a busy part of town. We hope the traffic stays light for the commute home later today.
