At Texas Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd, we are located in C V Raman Nagar, specifically in Phase IV of the Gidc Estate, building 66/3. Even though the name sounds big, the day-to-day life here feels like any other office in this part of town. Most of us spend our hours looking at circuits or working through technical designs at our workstations. The C V Raman Nagar area is actually quite nice, though the commute through the estate can be a bit of a headache during the monsoon season when the roads get muddy. Our building is a solid, older structure that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of cubicles and a lot of whiteboards covered in scribbled notes that only half of us understand. We aren't big on formal meetings if we can avoid them, so most of our talking happens over the low walls of our desks. We have a canteen where the food is okay, but many of us prefer to bring stuff from home and eat while we chat. The atmosphere is pretty quiet most of the time, except for the humming of the computers and the occasional sound of someone frustrated with a piece of hardware. We just focus on getting our technical tasks done and making sure everything is tested properly before the day ends. It’s a regular job with regular people doing some pretty specific technical work.
