Terra Firma Landscape Architecture

Terra Firma Landscape Architecture is tucked away in the basement of 498, 14th Main in Koramangala. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but it stays cool when the sun is beating down on the 3rd Block outside. We’ve got bags of soil samples in the corner and boots that are usually caked in dried mud from whatever site we visited yesterday. Koramangala is always loud, but down here, it’s mostly just the sound of us talking about drainage or where a particular tree might survive. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of printed maps pinned to the walls. Sometimes the overhead lights flicker, and we keep saying we’ll fix them, but then we get busy with a planting plan and forget. It’s a working office, not a showroom. There are rolls of blueprints standing in tall bins and a coffee machine that leaks if you don't hold the handle just right. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us as the people who are always carrying big rolls of paper or dragging in a new shrub. We don’t have a corporate structure or fancy titles. We just sit around the main table, look at the drawings, and try to solve the problems that come with outdoor spaces. It's a bit cramped, but it works for us. We just focus on the plans.
