Indian Landscaping Architecture

Our office is in the Ktpc Building on Bull Temple Road, right in the heart of Basavanagudi. We are pretty close to the BSNL office, which makes us easy to locate. Landscaping is a bit different from regular architecture because we are always thinking about things that grow. Our desks are usually covered in sketches of gardens and lists of different plants that work well in the Bangalore climate. It is a lot of thinking about soil, drainage, and how much sun a certain corner gets. We aren't stuck inside all day, though. A lot of our time is spent out in the dirt, checking on projects and making sure the trees and shrubs are being planted the right way. It can be quite physical work. We get back to the office with muddy boots and spend the rest of the day on the phone with nurseries or contractors. The area around Bull Temple Road is always busy, especially during festivals, so there is a lot of life right outside our window. We don't have a polished corporate image. We are just people who like being outdoors and figuring out how to make a piece of land look better. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes, as plants have a mind of their own. We just keep working at it, season after season, and try to keep things growing.
