Techno Centre

We’ve been at this Madivala spot for a good while now. It’s mostly tech stuff here at Techno Centre. People bring in their broken screens or laptops that won't turn on. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy with cables everywhere and boards lying around, but we generally know where everything is. It’s just a few of us working in the back. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. Just some solid workbenches and a lot of specialized tools. When someone walks in, they usually have a problem with a phone or a laptop. We take a look and see what can actually be done. It’s not always a quick fix, sadly. Sometimes parts take a week to arrive from the supplier. Madivala is always noisy, so there’s a constant sound of traffic from the street outside our door. We just keep our heads down and focus on the soldering. You might see a few dusty monitors stacked in the corner that nobody ever picked up. That’s just how it is when you’re busy. We try to be honest about the costs. If it’s too expensive to fix, we’ll just tell you. No point wasting anyone's money. Most of our regulars are local folks who know us by name. They just drop by when something stops working. We don’t do much advertising. People just find us or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a small, crowded space, but it works for what we do every day.
