Taj Hardware Paints

If you go down to Maruthi Seva Nagar, you’ll find our shop at 58/4. We are quite close to R S Palya. It is a typical local hardware store, meaning it is a bit cramped and smells strongly of paint thinners and metal. We have cans of different brands stacked up almost to the ceiling. I spend a lot of time hunting for specific screw sizes or mixing shades for people who want their living room to look just right. It is dusty work and my clothes usually have some spots of primer on them by the end of the day. We aren't trying to be a big home decor center. It is just a place to get your supplies and maybe some advice on which brush works for what. The neighborhood is busy, and parking right in front of the shop can be a bit of a nightmare during the evening rush. My family has been running this for years. We know most of the plumbers and painters who work around here. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time and we have to tell customers to come back tomorrow. It is just how things go. We keep a ledger for the regulars and try to stay stocked on the basics like pipes, tapes, and various colors. It’s a simple life, just helping neighbors fix up their houses one bit at a time. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but we usually know where everything is.
