Swagelok

We are over in Mahadevapura at the Swagelok Bangalore 1 site. The address is on Graphite India Main Road, right in the heart of the industrial area. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially during shift changes. The building is pretty functional. We have a lot of inventory and some office space. It’s not a place where we sit around and talk about big visions. Most of the time, we are just busy with the valves and fittings that come through here. The dust from the road is a constant battle, but that’s just how it is in this part of Bangalore. We’ve been here long enough to see the area grow from relatively quiet to the dense industrial hub it is now. Inside, the floors are concrete and the shelves are tall. We use forklifts to move things around. It’s a lot of physical work combined with keeping track of part numbers. Sometimes the rain makes the road a mess, which slows things down, but we just deal with it. We aren't into making ourselves sound more important than we are. We are just a team of people working in a warehouse and office setup in Doddanakkundi. Most of us have been here for years, so we know the inventory like the back of our hands. It’s a steady kind of life. We open early and stay until the work is done. It's just simple day-to-day operations here.
