Suraj Mani Engineeres

Up on Old N A C Road at Hbr Layout, number 432 is where Suraj Mani Engineeres is located. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from this side of town, but it’s a solid area. We have a workspace that’s mostly filled with heavy equipment and metal scraps. It’s loud and it’s usually pretty greasy. We don't wear uniforms here, just old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a lot of clanging and the smell of oil in the air most mornings. We have a small desk for paperwork, but it’s usually covered in grease smudges and old mugs. We deal with a lot of technical drawings and measurements. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought, and we end up staying late under the fluorescent lights. The floor is concrete and has seen better days. We don't have a fancy waiting area for customers. Most people just stand by the door or come right into the shop to show us what they need. It’s an honest way to spend the day. Hbr Layout has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner feels pretty much the same. We just keep the machines running and handle the jobs as they come in. It’s about the metal and the tools and getting the dimensions right. That’s what matters at the end of the day.
