Sunrise Paint Corner

The shop is at 29/1, Samardh Complex, right on the Hosur Main Road in Adugodi. Being on a main road like this means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses and cars zooming past. We mostly sell paints and the brushes and rollers that go with them. It’s a busy corner. We get a lot of walk-in customers who are just passing by and remember they need a tin of paint for a patch-up job. The shelves are packed with different brands and sizes. Sometimes it’s hard to keep everything organized when we get a big delivery. We use a small machine to mix the colors, and that thing makes a lot of noise. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we often take the color cards outside to show people how they look in the real sun. It’s a small shop, but we make the most of the space we have. Most of our day is spent helping people decide between eggshell and gloss, which can take longer than you’d think. We have some regulars who are professional painters; they usually come in early before their shift starts. It’s a fast-paced environment because of the location. We just keep our heads down and try to serve whoever comes through the door as quickly as we can before the traffic starts up again.
