Decan Paints

You can find Decan Paints over in the B. M. Shankarappa Industrial Estate. We’re in the Vishwaneedam Post area of Sunkadakatte. If you come by, you’ll definitely smell us before you see us. The air always has that heavy scent of fresh paint and chemicals. It’s an industrial spot, so there’s a lot of noise from machines and trucks backing up. We spend our days mixing colors and filling up cans of all sizes. The floors are usually covered in spots of different colors where someone might have spilled a bit during the day. It’s not a clean or quiet place to work, but it’s where we get things done. We have stacks of empty buckets and lids piled up high against the walls. The workers here have been doing this for a long time, so they can tell if a shade is right just by looking at it. We don't have a fancy showroom or a place for people to sit down and have coffee. It’s mostly just us in our overalls, making sure the orders are filled and the trucks are loaded. Sunkadakatte can be a dusty place, so we’re always wiping things down. It’s a simple business. We make the paint, we put it in the cans, and we send it out to the shops. There’s no big secret to it, just a lot of hard work every day. People around here know the sound of our gates opening early in the morning, and that’s just how we like it.
