Sunbright & Co.

Our shop, Sunbright & Co., is at No. 6 on Anandakrishnan Street in the Choolai area. It’s an old part of the city, and our building has that weathered look that comes with time. We are a small outfit, mostly focused on general trading and supplies. We don't have a big storefront with glass windows. It's more of a traditional setup where the door stays open and people walk right in. Inside, it’s a bit dark because the building is old, but we have enough lights to see what we are doing. We keep various goods stacked up on wooden racks. The daily routine is pretty much the same: we open up, sweep the front, and start checking the orders that came in. We get a lot of local people stopping by for things they need for their own shops or homes. There’s always a bit of chatting going on, as everyone knows everyone else on this street. We don't use a lot of technology, mostly just a phone and some notebooks to keep track of what we buy and sell. The street outside is narrow, so when a delivery comes, it’s always a bit of a struggle to get the items inside quickly. We just do our work, talk to our neighbors, and close up when the sun goes down. It is a simple life and a simple business here in Choolai. We've been here for many years now.
