Sumukha Motor Driving School

Our office is at number 20 in the Veerasandra Industrial Estate in Thavarakere. It’s a bit of a different setting for a driving school, being tucked away in an industrial area, but it actually works out well for us. Sumukha Motor Driving School is what we call it here. The roads around the estate are wide enough for the early lessons when students are still jerky with the steering. I usually start the day early, checking the oil and tires on our small fleet of cars before the first student arrives. The office is quite basic, just a place to file the forms and take some phone calls. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy like that, just a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait. My family has been involved in this for a while, and we just like the honest work of teaching a useful skill. There's a certain satisfaction when someone finally stops stalling the engine on a hill start. We get a lot of workers from the nearby factories coming in after their shifts to learn. It’s a busy environment with trucks and tempo travelers always moving around, so our students learn to be alert pretty quickly. We aren't a corporate chain. We're just a local school trying to help people get their license so they can get to work or take their families out.
