At 12 Konankunte New Bank Colony, you’ll find Sujatha Ramanathan’s setup. It’s on the 1st Cross, which is a pretty quiet residential area compared to the main roads. We don’t have a big corporate sign outside, so most people just look for the house number on the gate. The space inside is quite cozy. We’ve set it up with some basic furniture and our work materials. It feels more like a home office than a traditional business place, which we actually prefer. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of the water tankers or the birds in the trees nearby. We spend most of our time at our desks, handling whatever needs to be done. There isn’t a fancy lobby or a waiting room for guests. If you come by, you’re basically walking right into our work life. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee and lunch. It’s a very independent way of doing things. The 1st Cross isn't very wide, so when someone parks a car, it blocks the whole street for a minute. We’ve lived and worked in this part of Konankunte for a long time, so we’re very familiar with the local shops and the way the weather changes the mood of the street. It’s just a simple, honest place to get work done without any extra fuss or ceremony.
