We are located on the 2nd floor of the SBI Building at 342 Hindustan Aeronautits limited, 2nd Stage, specifically in the Ellora Park area of Vadodara. Being right on the Main Road means we see a lot of the city’s traffic passing by our windows every day. Working in the cargo business means we are always dealing with schedules and paperwork, so the office is usually full of files and lists. It’s a functional space above the bank, which is convenient for us, though climbing the stairs several times a day keeps us on our toes. The 2nd floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, but we are mostly focused on what’s happening on our desks. At Sudarshan Cargo Pvt Ltd, we don’t really have any fancy lobby or receptionist; you just walk in and find someone at their desk. The air conditioning in the building can be a bit loud, but it’s better than the heat outside during the Vadodara summers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking status updates on shipments. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is necessary work and we’ve gotten quite good at the logistics of it over the years. We usually rotate who goes out to get the afternoon snacks for the group. It is just a group of us trying to keep everything moving smoothly without making a big fuss about it.
