We have some large saws and cutting tables that take up the majority of the yard. Most of our day is spent moving heavy slabs of stone around and making sure the cuts are straight. It’s hard on the back and the hands, but we’ve been doing it at this location for a good while. The neighbors in Cooke Town probably aren't too fond of the noise, but we try to keep it within the usual working hours. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just come to the yard and see the stone we’re currently working on. There’s always water running to keep the blades cool and mud everywhere on the floor. It’s not a place for nice shoes. We handle a lot of different types of stone, depending on what people bring in or what’s been ordered for a building project. It’s a straightforward operation. We just take the measurements, start the saws, and get to work. It’s just us and the machines, day in and day out. We aren't looking to be the biggest cutting shop in the city, just to keep our regulars happy with the work we do for them.
